Download NowNEW DELHI: In what has been the best West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha 2025 results so far, boys have performed better than their counterparts. Adrita Sarkar is the Class 10 topper while Souyma Pal and Anubhab Bishwas have grabbed the second rank. Ishani Chakraborty is the third rank holder. “I had expected I would grab a place among top 10. But Rank 1 was unexpected. Want to pursue medicine in future but will also explore other fields,” Sarkar told Careers360.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared the West Bengal Class 10 result 2025 today. 86.56% students passed the exams as compared to last year’s 86.31%.
This year, boys surpassed girls by recording a higher pass percentage of 89.19% in West Bengal Class 10 board exams 2025. Whereas, 84.31% girls passed the Matric exams.

The West Bengal Board saw a significant increase in the number of female candidates taking the exam, as 5,43,544 appeared in WB Class 10 board exams 2025 in comparison to their male counterparts, 4,25,881. Even female minority candidates (1,76,804) outnumbered male candidates (1,04,471).
District-wise, East Midnapore emerged as the best performer with 96.46%, followed by Kalimpong with 96.09% pass percentage. Kolkata recorded 92.30% pass rate while 90.52% students of West Midnapore cleared the exams.
