West Bengal: WBBSE to distribute 182 teacher appointment letters on November 11, 12

West Bengal Teacher Recruitment: 182 recommended candidates to collect appointment letters from Derozio Bhawan, Nivedita Bhavan Premises, Salt Lake, Kolkata, at 12 noon.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has directed 182 candidates recommended for teaching posts under the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) to collect their appointment letters on November 11 and 12.

The announcement follows the Supreme Court order in Baisakhi Bhattacharya (Chattopadhyay) vs State of West Bengal and others, and verification of candidates’ testimonials.

A total of 182 recommended candidates have been asked to collect their appointment letters from the West Bengal Board on November 11 and 12 at Derozio Bhawan, Nivedita Bhavan Premises, Salt Lake, Kolkata, at 12 noon.

Forty-seven candidates selected for Class 11 and 12 teaching posts have been called on November 11, while 135 candidates qualified for Class 9 and 10 teaching vacancies will be distributed appointment letters on November 12.

Those who fail to report on the scheduled date and time will be treated as non-complaint, and the entire responsibility will rest with the candidate, the board said.

WBCSSC: Documents required

Selected candidates are required to carry the following documents on the allotted date.

  • Original recommendation letter of WBCSSC.
  • Approval letter from the concerned DI(S) for the 2016 selection process.
  • Appointment letter of the selection process prior to 2016 issued by the concerned school authority.
  • Approval letter from the DI(S) related to selection process prior to 2016.
  • Birth certificate and admit card of Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent document as proof of date of birth.
  • One proof of identity such as an electoral ID card, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and driving license.
  • Certificate of marriage from a competent authority for female candidates if applicable.
  • Two recent coloured passport size photographs.
