Bihar STET 2025 registration deadline extended following Patna HC order; apply by October 5 at bsebstet.org

Bihar STET Registration 2025: The exam is scheduled to be held from October 4 to 25, with the results expected on November 1.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the last date for submitting online application forms and examination fees for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2025. As per the official notice, the new deadline for Bihar STET 2025 registration is October 5, 2025.
Earlier, the last date to submit the Bihar STET 2025 application form was September 27. The extension follows the order passed by the Hon’ble High Court, Patna, in Writ Petition No. CWJC 16171/2025. The board clarified that all instructions mentioned in the earlier notification remain unchanged.
“In view of the order dated September 26, 2025, passed by the Hon’ble High Court, Patna in Writ Petition No. CWJC 16171/2025, all candidates appearing in the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2025, and all concerned are hereby informed, as per Notification No. PR 218/2025, that the last date for filling the online application form and submitting the examination fee for STET, 2025 has been extended up to October 5, 2025,” the board said.
The Bihar STET 2026 is conducted to certify candidates for teaching at the secondary school level (Classes 9 and 10). The Bihar STET 2025 is scheduled to be held from October 4 to 25, 2025, with the results expected on November 1, 2025.
The examination will have of two papers: Paper 1 for candidates aiming to teach at the secondary level and Paper 2 for those targeting the senior secondary level. Eligible candidates can register for the Bihar STET 2025 through the official website at bsebstet.org.

Bihar STET 2025 Registration: Eligibility, documents upload guidelines
Candidates appearing for the Bihar STET 2025 should be at least 21 years old as of August 1, 2025. The maximum age limit will be as prescribed by the State Government (General Administration Department) from time to time, depending on the category.
While registering for Bihar STET 2025, candidates must upload a scanned photograph that is between 80 KB and 200 KB in size, with dimensions of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The scanned signature should be between 50 KB and 200 KB.
The photograph should be recent, with a white or light-colored background, and taken facing the camera, ensuring that the candidate’s face and eyes are clearly visible. Headwear, hats, or black sunglasses are not allowed while taking the photograph.
