DU UG Admission 2024: Over 65,000 students secured seats in first round so far

Download NowNEW DELHI: A total of 65,290 students have secured admission to the University of Delhi (DU) so far, as per an official statement. Of 97,387 candidates who were allotted seats in the first round of DU UG admission 2024; 17,868 chose the “freeze” option for taking time to decide if they’re satisfied with the allocated seat.

42,668 applicants opted for upgradation of seats in the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2024 round 1. The time for the fee payment has been extended till 11:59 pm today.
Till August 20, more than 46,000 students were offered admissions to different DU colleges. Close to 84,000 candidates had accepted the seats allotted to them in the first allocation list released on August 16. Over 2.45 lakh applied for admission to the undergraduate programmes through the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 and 1.85 lakh applicants submitted their course and college preferences.
DU UG CSAS 2024
According to the counselling schedule, the university will display the vacant seats on August 22 for the second allocation round of DU CSAS UG 2024. Those applicants who chose the ‘upgrade’ option will get the chance to re-order their preferences between August 22 and 23.
The university conducts UG admissions in three phases – phase 1 for registration, phase 2 for submitting programme and college combinations, and phase 3 for seat allocation. There are several rounds of allocation to fulfill around 70,000 UG seats in various programmes.
