KDISC signs agreement with TeamLease to offer certificate programmes, internships, industry-skill requirements.

NEW DELHI: Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (KDISC) signs an agreement with TeamLease Edtech towards economic development in Kerala. The collaboration will address the skill gap, skill requirements and other employment challenges present in the state.
Both TeamLease and Kerala Government aim to equip the state's workforce industry through various programmes. The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities through work-linked degree programmes, credit-linked degree programmes, internships, and certificates making education and training accessible to all.
The programme will focus on mutual exchange of knowledge, best practices, and industry insights between two parties. Keeping the aim of increasing employability in Kerala and ultimately contributing to economic growth is the agenda.
All of the programmes are designed to implement skill development with specific needs of Kerala’s economy.
KDISC is an advisory body of the Kerala Government for formulating plans reflecting on increased productivity, employment, and to foster equitable and inclusive development.
Dr P V Unnikrishnan, member secretary of KDISC said, "The collaboration with TeamLease EdTech is a landmark initiative in our efforts to boost the employability and skill levels of our youth. This MoU will significantly enhance the employment prospects of our students, thereby fostering sustainable economic development in Kerala."
