Maharashtra CET Cell 2025: 92% BEd seats filled, enrollment continues to rise

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Examination (CET) Cell has filled 92% of Bachelor of Education (BEd) seats for the academic year 2025-26. For the 3rd consecutive year, female students have surpassed male admissions, with 73.07% of BEd seats filled by girls this year.

A total of 36,698 seats were offered for BEd admissions, of which 33,877 students have been admitted in 483 colleges in the state.

According to the Mah CET’s BEd admission 2025 official data, the number of girls taking admission is more than boys for the last three years. Enrollment of girls shows a rising trend: 22,327 (74.32%) in 2023-24, 24,704 (74.72%) in 2024-25, and 24,756 (73.07%) in 2025-26.

This year, 95.53% of the admissions were made under the centralized admission process (CAP). Out of the total 34,170 seats under the CAP, 32,643 seats have been confirmed.

However, 46.67% of the admissions were made in the EWS category this year. That is, 53.33% of the seats remained vacant. Out of the total 2,528 seats, 1,180 have been filled, and 1,380 remain vacant.

Mah CET BEd admission for the academic year 2025-26 started on June 25, and the admission process continued till November 4th. CET Cell conducted four rounds of admission, including the institutional round.
