NMC asks medical colleges to submit MBBS admission details for 2024-25 session

NMC asked colleges to submit information on NEET roll number, category, admission date, marks obtained, annual fee, counselling, seat.

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked medical colleges and institutions to submit the details of students admitted in the first year of MBBS programmes in the academic session 2024-25. The last date to submit the information is November 8.

The commission reiterated the guidelines regarding MBBS admissions which must be done in accordance with the provisions of the NMC Act and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) based selection process notified by the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 2024. The medical colleges are required to use set parameters for admissions which include sanctioned intake capacity, eligibility, age limit, qualifying marks, common counselling.

NMC has launched an online monitoring system to monitor that medical admissions are done in conformity with the regulations.

“Through this unique login id all the medical colleges/institutions must submit their student's admission details latest by 8th November, 2024 12:00 pm midnight into “ beyond which the colleges/institutions will not be allowed to enter the details of the students into “UG Admission Monitoring Module” Students Entry System for academic year 2024-25,” the commission said.

MBBS admissions

Colleges are required to submit the following details about students:

  • NEET UG 2024 roll number
  • Category (All India quota/State Govemment or UT Administrationquota/ Management quota/ NRI quota/Others)
  • Date of Admission in dd/mm/ yyyy format
  • Marks obtained or maximum marks in PCB (10+2)
  • Marks obtained or maximum marks in English (10+2)
  • Marks obtained or maximum marks in PCB entrance exam (NEET) and percentile
  • Fees charged from student annually ( amount in rupees)

Moreover, colleges will also have to enter details such as seat entry, category of college, minority, name of counselling, seat matrix, consensual agreement in case of private colleges. NMC also asked colleges to upload details of admitted students on their website in the format provided.

“The Commission may ask for other supportive documents like Caste certificate, 10+2 mark sheet, details of Competitive entrance exam, as and when required by the Monitoring Cell. Students, who have 10+2 from outside India, are required to submit equivalence certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities stating that the academic credentials are as per the Curriculum of Indian System,” NMC further said.
