UKSSSC: The commission has postponed the cooperative inspector Class-2 and assistant development officer cooperative exam, which was scheduled for October 5.
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) exam for October 5 has been postponed. The UKSSSC cooperative inspector Class-2 and assistant development officer cooperative exam was scheduled for October 5.
The decision came after requests from candidates and allowed the commission to further strengthen its preparations.
Amid the uncertainty over the commission’s upcoming exam following the alleged paper leak of three pages of a question paper from the Haridwar centre during the graduate level exam on September 21, the UKSSSC chairman Ganesh Sighn Martolia said that the tests to recruit candidates in various government departments would be held on the previously-scheduled dates.
UKSSSC: Security measures for exams
The chairman has asserted that the commission’s preparations are fully in place and the security measures have been further strengthened this time. He also added that a comprehensive review has been conducted in coordination with district magistrates and senior superintendents of police regarding the candidates' biometric verification, searches, and installation of jammers at the examination centres.
Additionally, jammers will also be installed in the washrooms at the examination centres, and the candidates using the washrooms will be subjected to a search before leaving and after returning.

UKSSSC’s paper leak
The main accused in the graduate-level exam paper leak case, Khalid Malik, told investigators that he had hidden a mobile phone at the exam centre a day before the test. During the exam, he went to the washroom, used the phone to take photos of three pages of the question paper, and sent them to his sister.
In response to this incident, the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association started a large protest. Following the public outcry, the state government has recommended that the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) .
