AISSEE 2026 registration deadline extended till November 9; exam on January 18

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to submit the online application form for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026. As per the revised schedule, candidates can now apply for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools till November 9, 2025.
The testing agency has also extended the fee payment deadline till November 10. Candidates from General, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Defence, and Ex-servicemen categories are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 850 to register for AISSEE 2026. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories will have to pay Rs 700.
The NTA has also announced the AISSEE 2026 exam date. As per the announcement, the AISSEE 2026 exam will be held on January 18, 2026. The AISSEE 2026 examination will be held in pen-and-paper mode in January 2026.
NTA has included three new Sainik Schools for AISSEE 2026 . Earlier in June, the Ministry of Defence approved 86 new Sainik Schools as part of its plan to establish 100 such institutions nationwide.
The AISSEE 2026 correction window for editing particulars in the online application form will now remain open from November 12 to 14, 2025. Candidates will be able to make corrections in their application details through the official website exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society during the specified correction period.
