Aligarh Muslim University to open application form for UG, PG admission from February 1

Entrance tests for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and professional courses will be held in pen-and-paper mode from April 12, 2026.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will begin the registration for admission to its various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and professional programmes from February 1. Eligible candidates will be able to fill the AMU application form through the official website at amucontrollerexams.com
The application fee for the entrance exam is Rs 750 to Rs 1,050, depending on the programme.
The university will conduct the pen-and-paper-based college entrance test for BA (Hons) programmes for the academic year 2026-27 on April 12 and 19.
AMU admissions: Test dates
The entrance test for admission to BTech, BArch, and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) will be held on April 19.
Tests for senior secondary school (science stream), diploma in engineering, and senior secondary school (humanities,commerce stream), including the bridge course for candidates with equivalent 10+2 qualifications from recognised boards or AMU-recognised madrasas, will be conducted on April 26.

Postgraduate entrance tests for programmes including MBA, MBA (International Business), MBA (Islamic Banking & Finance), MBA (Financial Management), MBA (Tourism & Travel Management), MBA (Insurance & Risk Management), MBA (Human Resource Management), MBA (Hospital Administration), Master of Public Health (MPH), and Master in Social Welfare (MSW) are scheduled for June 7. The BEd entrance test will also be held on the same date.
AMU admission: How to apply
Candidates can apply to AMU by following these simple steps on the official admission portal:

Visit the official AMU admission website at amucontrollerexams.com

Complete the registration by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar number, and by creating a password.

Log in using the registered email ID and password.

Choose the preferred programme or specialisation.

Fill in the application form with personal and educational information.

Upload the required scanned documents, including photograph and signature.

Review all details and uploaded documents carefully before submission.

Pay the applicable application/admission fee through UPI, net banking, or debit/credit card.

After verification by AMU an acknowledgement or confirmation will be issued.
