BPSC Headmaster, head teacher recruitment starts tomorrow at bpsc.bih.nic.in

Candidates applying for the 6,061 head masters posts and 40,247 vacancies of head teachers should have 8 years teaching experience.
NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will start the registration process for headmaster and head teacher vacancies tomorrow on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. The commission is conducting the recruitment to fill 6,061 head masters posts and 40,247 vacancies of head teachers in primary schools under the education department, Bihar.
Eligible candidates will be able to complete the registration process till April 2. Candidates belonging to unreserved categories will have to submit an application fee of Rs 750. Applicants from SC, ST and PwD and female candidates will have to pay registration of Rs 200.
Exam pattern
The headmaster and head teacher vacancies written exam will be conducted divided into two parts – part I and part II. Part-I will be a general studies paper and the questions will be related to the higher secondary school syllabus. This part will include primary mathematics and mental ability, national and international events, general science, Indian national movement, geography and Indian politics. The part II will based on BEd syllabus.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for Bihar headmaster recruitment should be an Indian citizen and a resident of Bihar. They Should possess a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Extremely Backward Class, Backward Class, PwD, women and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will be given 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree. The candidates should have cleared the Bihar Techer Eligibility Test (TET). Candidates working in schools affiliated to different boards like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) will not have to provide TET score.

Applicants for the Bihar primary school head teachers should meet the Rule 2 (ix) of Bihar Primary School Head Teacher Rules, 2024. This also includes those teachers who are appointed under Bihar State School Teacher (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) Rules, 2023 and Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023.
Applicants should have a minimum 8 years of teaching experience in government primary schools. The applicants should be 58 years or less as on August 1.
