BSEB Class 10, 12 scholarship and incentive applications open on Medhasoft portal

BSEB Class 10, 12 Scholarship 2025: Students who passed the Bihar Board matric, inter with first or second division can receive financial assistance under the Chief Minister Boy/Girl Incentive Schemes.
The Bihar Government has launched the Medhasoft portal to enable students to apply for financial incentives under the Chief Minister Boy/Girl Incentive Scheme. Students who passed the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 10, 12 exam 2025 are eligible to receive financial assistance under multiple scholarship and incentive schemes.
As per the official notice, the schemes aim to promote higher education and help students become self-reliant while integrating into the mainstream of society. Beneficiaries include students from general, backwards, SC/ST, and minority communities who have performed well in the examinations.
Students who have achieved first or second division marks in BSEB matriculation and intermediate examinations 2025 are eligible for various incentives. Under the Chief Minister Girl Incentive Scheme, BSEB Class 10 girl students from general and backward classes who have secured first division will receive Rs 10,000.
Financial assistance for SC, ST students
Under the Chief Minister SC/ST merit scholarship scheme , SC, ST students who passed the Bihar board Class 10 with a first division will get Rs 10,000, and those with a second division will get Rs 8,000. For BSEB Class 12, first division students will receive Rs 15,000 and second division students Rs 10,000.
The board states that the financial assistance will be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). To facilitate this, the NIC has developed the Medhasoft portal, which carries district-wise and institution-wise data of all eligible students.
Verify and update details
Students can verify the accuracy of their information and enter any missing details, such as bank account number, IFSC code, Aadhaar number, and other required information on the official portal at medhasoft.bihar.gov.in.
“The bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and in the student’s name. The account should be in a nationalised bank, a recognised private bank, or India Post Payments Bank branch located in Bihar,” the official notice said.
