CBSE to hold parenting orientation for school heads, counsellors in Patna on July 26

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct an offline orientation programme titled "Parenting for Student Wellness and Growth" on July 26, 2025, in Patna. The programme is being organised for principals, vice-principals, counsellors and wellness teachers of CBSE-affiliated schools in the Patna region.

The workshop will focus on various areas such as child safety, mental health, communication between parents and children, psychological development, and balancing discipline with empathy. It is intended to help schools and parents work together to support students.

The session will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at D.A.V. Public School, BSEB Patna, located in BSEB Colony, New Punaichak, Patna, Bihar - 800023. Participants will have to reach the venue by 9:30 am. The official notice states that there is no registration fee for attending the programme.

“Interested Principals/Vice-Principals/Counsellors/Wellness Teachers may register through the link provided in the official notice. Participation will be limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation emails will be sent to the selected participants,” the official notice said.

The orientation is part of CBSE's ongoing effort to strengthen school-parent collaboration, in line with the objectives set out in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The board recently introduced the Parenting Calendar 2025-26, a structured framework to involve parents in their children's academic learning, emotional health and development of life skills.

CBSE to hold career session in Udaipur on July 26

CBSE is also conducting a series of offline career awareness programmes for school principals and counsellors to support students in exploring higher education options, scholarships and emerging career pathways.

The sessions are designed to help school authorities guide students based on their interests and aptitudes, as outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which calls for robust counselling systems in schools. The upcoming programmes will be held on July 26 at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur. The session will run from 10 am to 2 pm.
