DoE offers second chance for Class 10, 12 admissions 2025 in Delhi govt schools; registration from July 9

Delhi Class 10, 12 Non-plan Admission 2025: The second cycle of the Common Admission Test (CAT-II) will be conducted on August 2.
The Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi, will hold a second round of non-plan admissions to Class 10 and 12 through Common Admission Test for the academic year 2025-26. The applications will be open from July 9 for students residing in Delhi only.
“Many parents are still approaching the offices of Directorate of Education for admission of their wards to Classes X and XII in schools under Directorate of Education,” the DoE said, adding that the decision to conduct a second round of admissions was taken to give such students one more chance.
The DoE will offer admission to government schools in Delhi , except Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya (RPVV), School of Specialized Excellence (SoSE), and School of Excellence (SoE).
Delhi Class 10, 12 admission test
The second cycle of the Common Admission Test (CAT-II) will be conducted on August 2. The exam will comprise multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The results will be declared on August 6 at 12 noon.
Class 10 question pattern - The exam will consist of five subjects namely English, Hindi, science, social science, and mathematics. Each subject will carry 20 marks.
Class 12 exam pattern - The question paper will be different for science, commerce, and humanities streams. For commerce stream, questions will be asked from English, mathematics, accountancy, and economics carrying 25 marks each. For science stream, 25 marks worth questions will be asked in English, mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry. For the Humanities stream, the subject knowledge in English, Hindi, political science, economics, history, and geography will be tested.
It is mandatory for students applying for Class 12 admission to attempt any one language along with other three elective subjects. The minimum qualifying marks is 33%.
