JEE Mains 2025 Preparation Tips - Coaching institutes have advised aspirants to understand the JEE Main syllabus 2025, prioritise understanding core application based concepts, and making last-minute revision sheets. Most of the coaching institutes and subject experts from PW, Pathfinder Educational Centre LLP recommended religiously practicing NCERT questions.
“NCERT is the most important resource for JEE Main chemistry , especially for inorganic and organic chemistry. Many questions in JEE Main are directly based on concepts and reactions mentioned in NCERT,” one of the faculty from PW told Careers360. According to experts, students preparing for the JEE Main should have a proper study plan and suggested the following five tips.
- Set specific and realistic daily targets for physics, chemistry, and mathematics . Students have been advised to switch the timings for each subject every day. Aim for 3-4 hours of dedicated self-study daily for practice and thorough review.
- It is important to strictly follow the weekly study plan. Create a priority list and tackle high-priority tasks first. Start with the most intensive subject, as it requires more conceptual understanding and problem-solving.
- Taking the JEE Main mock test and practicing time management is crucial for last-month preparation. Experts have suggested attempting at least 2-3 mock tests per week and increasing the number as you near the JEE Mains exam date 2025.
- Break tasks into smaller chunks and take short breaks in between your revision to avoid feeling overwhelmed. The coaching expert said ‘no topic is too difficult’, adding that understanding each question comprises multiple components is important. “If you encounter difficulty, break the question into smaller, manageable parts and solve each component individually,” the experts suggested.
- Students are required to maintain a journal to track the topics covered and identify weak areas. This will help them in revising difficult topics again before the exam. Attempting JEE Main previous years’ question paper and going through all the formulas will also help boost confidence before the exam.
