The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has launched online professional certification programmes in cybersecurity and software development. The fourteen-week courses aim to enhance candidates' professional growth and enable opportunities in high-demand fields.
Developed by IIT Bombay’s Trust Lab, department of computer science and engineering, these courses have been designed to keep pace with the current market needs, the institute said in an official statement.
Notably, candidates can apply for the online courses through the official website at trustedge.iitb.ac.in by December 31. The programmes will begin from January 4, 2026.
“Reinforcing IIT Bombay’s commitment to advancing industry-relevant and application-driven education, these programmes follow an academic–industry integrated model that blends theoretical rigour with hands-on practice,” the institute said.
Each online programme consists of three-structured courses, delivered by the institute’s faculty. It also involves weekly laboratory sessions with real-world professional environments, enabling participants to develop both conceptual understanding and workplace-ready expertise.
The network security programme in cybersecurity focuses on protecting computer networks against evolving cyber threats through practical learning in defence strategies, secure protocols, and network hardening techniques.
While, the full-stack MERN development with Apache and Nginx in software development is designed to equip candidates with the ability to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable web applications using modern frameworks and server configurations.
