The NTA director general Subodh Kumar Singh said the testing agency has consulted all boards and based on the deliberations, the expert committee is finalising the syllabus . The JEE Main 2024 information bulletin along with the application form date will be notified next week, the report said.
As per the NTA exam calendar, JEE Main 2024 session 1 will be held from January 24 to February 1 and session 2 from April 1 to 15, 2024. The JEE Main application form link will be hosted on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Last year, the NTA decided to provide choices in one section of each subject of paper 1 and paper 1 of paper 2A and 2B. However, the total number of questions to be attempted remained at 25 for physics, chemistry and mathematics.
After the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently released the syllabus of National Eligibilty-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG 2024), students started requesting the NTA to publish the JEE syllabus. However, there was no clarity on reduction of NEET UG syllabus and some students have also pointed out errors in the notified syllabus.
The JEE Main syllabus broadly includes topics from NCERT Class 11 and 12 subjects. Several boards including CBSE, CISCE, reduced the syllabus of Class 12 due to the academic disruptions caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
