The testing agency hosts the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 registration link on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The computer-based college entrance test JEE Mains 2026 session 2 will be conducted from April 2 to 9 in dual shifts. The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, whereas the afternoon shift will take place from 3 to 6 pm.

The JEE Mains 2026 April session admit card will be issued tentatively on March 29 or 30 on the NTA’s official portal.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2024 or 2025, or those appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply for the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 examination.
Notably, the NTA will issue the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 answer key and response sheet for over 13 lakh candidates on February 4.
The JEE Mains 2026 session 1 results will be declared on February 12. The college entrance exam is the gateway for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlanning programmes at the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

Documents required for JEE Mains 2026 April registration
Applicants are required to fill the application form and upload the required documents when the JEE Mains session 2 registration portal opens. The following documents in prescribed format should be kept ready before fill the JEE form.
- A recent color passport-size photograph with 80% face visible against white background. Photograph in JPG/JPEG format between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Signature file should be JPG/JPEG format between 10 kb to 100 kb.
- Scanned copy of Class 10 or equivalent certificate should be uploaded in PDF format between 50 kb to 300 kb.
- Scanned copy of Identity Proof for those candidates who have opted out of Aadhaar verification or Digilocker. The ID should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG, with file size between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Scanned copy of disability or UDID certificate should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb.

JEE Main 2026 question paper in 13 languages
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2026 session 2 in thirteen languages - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The JEE Mains question paper will be prepared in multiple languages, with an aim to make the exam more accessible to students across diverse linguistic backgrounds.

JEE Main April 2026 Exams: Mobile-saved documents not valid proof
JEE Main candidates are required to carry government-issued valid ID card along with the admit card for verification purpose at the exam centre. On identity verification, the NTA said that candidates should carry a valid photo ID in original, the same proof uploaded during the application process. “Photocopies or images stored on mobile phones will not be accepted,” it said.

JEE Mains 2026 Session 2: Entry and exam timings
