KCET 2025: KEA offers 4 choices; legal action against candidates failing to report after round 3

Download NowThe Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has provided four options for candidates allotted seats through KCET round 2 counselling 2025. Candidates will have to exercise their option to accept or reject allotment of seats before September 2 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The KCET round 2 seat allotment results were announced recently for engineering, pharmacy. BSc Nursing courses. The admission process based on the allotment will be carried out between August 31 to September 3.
The KEA executive director IAS H Prasanna had directed the professional colleges to remain open on Sunday as well to admit the students.
KEA offers 4 choices for round 2 candidates
The KEA has provided four choices for the round 2 seat allotted candidates.
Choice 1 - Candidates opting choice 1 will not be permitted to participate in the third round of KCET counselling of engineering, architecture, farm science, veterinary, yoga and naturopathy, BSc Nursing, BPharm.
Choice 2 - Candidates opting for choice 2 will have to pay the prescribed fee to be eligible to participate in the third round if a seat is allotted in any discipline or category in the second round.
Choice 3 - Candidates opting for choice 3 will not be required to pay the fee for the allotted seat in the second round. However, they are required to pay a minimum of Rs 10,000 to participate in the third round.
Choice 4 - Candidates who wish to exit from the counselling process and give up their allotted seat should opt for choice 4.
The KEA informed candidates that there will be no choices to exercise after round 3 seat allotment results. KCET round 3 allotment will be done based on merit. It is mandatory for candidates to report to the allotted college, the KEA said, adding that legal action will be taken against candidates who fail to report to the allotted college. Such candidates will be barred from participating in the admission process for the same course or discipline for the next three years.
