NEET PG 2025 round 2 reporting, resignation deadline extended till December 29

Use NowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for reporting and resignation for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) round counselling 2025. Candidates can now complete their reporting, joining, or resignation formalities for NEET PG 2025 counselling till 4 PM on December 29, 2025.
“Reporting and Resignation for Round 2 of PG Counselling 2025 has been extended till 04:00 PM on 29.12.2025,” the official notice said. Candidates who could not complete reporting within the original schedule can use this extension to confirm their admission or submit resignation if they choose
Earlier, candidates were required to complete reporting and joining between December 17 and 25. Verification of joined candidates’ data by the institutes was scheduled to be shared with MCC on December 26, 2025.

NEET PG Counselling 2025: Seat allotment process
The second round of NEET PG counselling began with choice filling and locking from December 6 to 14, 2025, followed by seat allotment processing on December 15 and 16. The NEET PG round 2 seat allotment result was announced on December 16.
Through NEET PG 2025 counselling , admission will be granted to 26,168 MD, 13,649 MS, 922 PG Diploma, and 1,338 DNB CET seats across 6,102 colleges and 649 hospitals in India. MCC conducts four rounds of All India Quota (AIQ) counselling for candidates who have qualified in NEET PG 2025.
The schedule for NEET PG round 3 counselling 2025 is yet to be announced by MCC. Candidates should keep checking the official MCC website for updates on further counselling rounds, seat allotments, and important deadlines.
