NIFT 2026: NTA adds two more cities for BDes, MDes entrance exams; apply by January 6

Download EBookThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has added two more new exam cities for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE 2026). As per an official notice, Vapi in Gujarat and Daman in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu have been included in the list of NIFT 2026 exam centres.

With the addition of these two locations, the total number of examination cities for the NIFT 2026 entrance exam has increased from 100 to 102. The online registration for NIFTEE 2026 will be available on exams.nta.nic.in/niftee until January 6.
The NTA has reduced the single-paper application fee to Rs 2,000 for Open, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and PwD applicants will have to pay Rs 500.
Students who fail to apply before the deadline can submit their NIFT applications between January 7 and 10 by paying a late fee of Rs 5,000, in addition to the regular application fee.
Two new cities added to NIFT 2026
Candidates who have already submitted their NIFT application forms and selected other exam cities will be allowed to modify their preferences and select the newly added cities during the correction window.
The NIFTEE application form correction facility will be open from January 12 to 14, and the exam will be conducted on February 8 in both computer-based test (CBT) and pen-and-paper test (PBT) modes.
“Following a request from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), the decision to expand the list of examination cities was taken to benefit candidates from the concerned regions,” the NTA notice said.
