NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has commenced the registration process for the recruitment of assistant professors in the Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service. Eligible candidates can apply for TN TRB recruitment 2024 by visiting the official website at trb.tn.gov.in.
The TN TRB recruitment drive aims to fill 4,000 assistant professor positions at government arts, science, and Education colleges. The last date to apply for TN TRB recruitment 2024 is April 29 till 5 pm.
TN TRB Recruitment 2024: selection process
The TN TRB recruitment 2024 selection process comprises a written test and interview. The TN TRB 2024 written exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on August 4. The written examination carries a total of 200 marks, divided into two parts- paper 1 and paper 2.
Paper 1 is for 100 marks and is further divided into two sections. - section A and B. Section A carries 50 compulsory questions of one mark each. The sectional time limit for section A is 1 hour. Section B comprises eight descriptive-type questions from the subjects opted for. Candidates have to attempt any five. Each question carries 10 marks. The time limit for section B is 2 hours.
Paper 2 is also divided into two sections – section A and B. section A has 50 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. The sectional time limit for section A is 1 hour. Section B comprises eight descriptive-type questions from the subjects opted for. Candidates have to attempt any five. Each question carries 10 marks. The time limit for section B is 2 hours.

The Interview round carries a weightage of 30 marks. If the number of vacancies is more than five, 2x candidates to the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the interview and if it is less than five, three times the number of vacancies will be called for the interview.
