UCEED, CEED 2026 entrance exam will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, and no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall once the exam has begun.
IIT Bombay conducts UCEED for admissions to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) and CEED for the Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes. The UCEED and CEED entrance exam is held once a year for admissions to design programmes at IIT Bombay , IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Roorkee, and other institutions accepting scores.
According to last year's UCEED 2025 statistics, 15,408 appeared for the exam, of whom 5,703 qualified. Out of the total qualifiers, 3,420 were female, and 2,283 were male.
UCEED, CEED 2026: Marking scheme
As per the UCEED 2026 exam pattern, Part A will comprise 200 marks and Part B will comprise 100 marks. CEED Part A will comprise 150 marks, and Part B will comprise 100 marks. The marking scheme for Part A of the paper is as follows.

UCEED, CEED 2026: Exam day guidelines
The exam day guidelines for UCEED and CEED 2026 aspirants are as follows.
- Candidates are advised to carry a printout of the UCEED or CEED admit card along with a valid original photo identity proof
- No entry to the exam centre will be allowed once the exam starts.
- The identity of the candidate will be verified by the officials at the exam centre. However, in case of any doubt about the candidate’s identity, he or she may not be allowed to appear for the exam.
- Candidates appearing for the design entrance exam are not allowed to carry any electronic devices, such as mobile phones, calculators, or tablets at the exam hall.
- Any stationary items such as slide rules, log books, study material, and geometry boxes will not be allowed at the exam centres and will be considered under prohibited items.
- No extra time will be allotted beyond the stipulated time to complete the paper.
- In case of any technical glitches while attempting the exam, candidates may be shifted to another terminal, and the lost time will be adjusted accordingly.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the exam completion time.
