Use NowThe Director General Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, has postponed the UP NEET PG round 3 counselling till further orders, due to the delay in the start of All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The last update on the MCC NEET PG counselling 2025 was the extension of resignation deadline for the round 2 seat-allotted candidates to December 30.
However, the MCC has not issued clarification on the NEET PG round 3 counselling even 21 days after it notified the counselling schedule. As per the revised NEET PG counselling dates 2025 published on December 17, the last date to complete the third round of MCC AIQ counseling was fixed as January 2, and the deadline to submit the data of joined candidates was January 12.

Since the state-quota counselling is conducted after the rounds held by the MCC, the delay has affected state admissions across the country. The UP NEET PG round 3 counselling scheduled to begin on January 2 also stands deferred.
“In view of the non-start of counselling for All India Quota under the third round of NEET PG 2025 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, the (UP NEET PG) counselling is postponed till further orders,” the official notification read.
As per the decision of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently added 171 PG medical seats in nearly 27 colleges across the country. The MCC NEET PG counselling was rescheduled and extended several times due to the repeated addition, approval, and deletion of seats in this year’s counselling process.
Candidates should note that the seat matrix for AIQ and state-quota seats along with the NEET PG counselling 2025 schedule will be published soon at mcc.nic.in, and respective state counselling portals.
